Luis Graduates!

Luis graduated from North Carolina State University with a degree in Electrical Engineering!
Here is us waiting for him to walk in

Terrible picture of him walking

After he "graduated" and was walking out Manny kept yelling, "Papi wins!"
A funny/blurry picture of Manny hugging the winning Papi

Now here are a million pictures of everyone after the ceremony
 Luis and his dad
 Luis and his mom
 Marcel chillin'

Marcel and Luis' friend Nelson (who is such a great friend, just came from NY for the day)

 Luis and Nelson

Luis and his friend Gerson (another Peruvian he met at school)

And this is a photo of Gladis' hair. She cut it ! I think it looks so beautiful

Marcel was really sleepy at the end

Then we went out to eat at a Peruvian restaurant called Inka and had delicious chicha morada (purple corn drink) and lots of delicious Peruvian food
Look in this picture-Edwin is raising one eyebrow! The same one as both my boys!

Nelson was really great with both the boys. We love Uncle Nelson.
And Congratulations Papi! We are so proud of you

Marcel 6 month check up

Marcel is 6 months (on the 3rd of May).
His stats
27" tall (63%)
18 lbs 10 oz (70%)
17 1/4 in head (63)
He is still in the 60-70% in everything. Pretty consistent boy. (Note to self-I need to go back and write all his stats from other visits.)
I forgot to say Marcel got an upper tooth a couple weeks ago (around when he turned 6 months) and now it looks like 2 more are trying to break through on the top. Sounds like he's in a lot of pain.
And he is a great inch worm. Scoots all over and is even using his knees sometimes. He is growing up way too fast. Looks like I need to clean a lot better. Who knew there were so many tiny pieces of fuzz/paper on my floor?

And here is a picture of Marcel at 6 months and Manny at 6 months. Obviously one is professional and one is not, but I just wanted to point out they were making kind of the same face. They can both raise one eyebrow.

Goofy Golfing and Uncomfortableness

Here are Manny and Marcel playing soccer-kind of

Manny trying to help Marcel head a ball?

One of Manny's friends had a minature golfing birthday party. With snow cones. It was awesome.
This was Manny's first time golfing in real life (because it's a little different than on wii sports). One thing you have to learn is that you have get your own ball. While I was in line to get Manny a ball he had run ahead and was playing with someone else's ball (not part of the party, but luckily it was a nice old man who didn't mind).
Not necessarily the best form, but he got the hang of it.

This is right before it went into that disgusting pool of muck.

Marcel being a good boy and just hanging out while Manny plays golf. And I really wanted to show you the genius toy my mother in-law made. Marcel loves it

I think this is where Manny just ended up dropping his ball in the hole because it was too hard.

And this one is again another shot of the great toy. But also Marcel really doesn't like to lay his head down. He always needs to be looking around at stuff. So much that when he falls asleep his head falls over and Luis gets mad telling me his head is going to fall off and I need to fix it. Don't worry we are working on adjusting it.

Lucky Again (for the last time)

We got to keep Lucky again for a few days. Manny loved it. But it was our last time. I don't think Manny knows. Actually I tried to tell him, but he got mad and insisted I was wrong. We started our day off with him by going to Target. (And I like how Marcel is peeking through the cart.)
And here is Marcel sitting up. He's pretty much professional. He is just about to turn 6 months in these pictures

                                                            Manny showing me his gun

Lucky taking a shot with the water gun and Marcel trying to get Lucky

Thinking about if he should shoot me and the consequences that might follow.

                                                         Yes! Someone else to shoot!

Returning with his captured
Then Manny dragged him to the pool and insisted he get in the freezing water. It looks nice, but the water was really cold. I just stuck my feet in.
Manny is a pretty good swimmer (with a life jacket. we are looking into swim lessons this summer).
I hung out with this guy while watching the freezing boys.

Hanging out with Abuela and Abuelo

Another attempt at a family photo (Marcel is 5 months in these)
A handsome one of my boys

We love to go on walks while we are at Abuela's

Here is where Manny found a feather and tried to tell me it was from a blue bird. But the feather was not blue...

Sorr for the blurriness of this one, but I love their faces. They are happy

And sometimes it looks like this. It is possible Manny tries to give a little more love than Marcel might like

So apparently you don't have to load the pictures backwards anymore. Which makes sense, but surprisingly takes a minute to get used to. I didn't realize this until I already uploaded my photos. Good thing it's just a little one. So this is Manny and Marcel (at 5 months) playing around the house.

And here is a video of the boys playing. They sure do like each other.

Randomness

Marcel's voice sounds raspy, like he's been yelling all day. It's now starting to sound normal.
I told Manny to go potty, and he's been going standing up recently (finally), so he pulls his pants down in the living room and walks with them around his ankles all the way to the bathroom.
Manny likes to have his stuffed animals box. When one knocks the other down he does the count. And after he gets to 10 instead of yelling "Knock out" he yells "knock off!"
Is it bad if your kid asks you who is coming over just because you are cleaning the house?  And also asks where we are going if I say we have to get dressed.
And here is a cute one of Marcel at 4 months
